13 August 2003 To: The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Re: Change of Operating Results BJC notifies the Group's net income for the second quarter of 2003 was Baht 274.1 million and year-to-date was Baht 550.8 million, 98% and 54% increased from the same period in 2002 respectively. The increase was primarily due to increasing of sales in the first half-year by 13% to Baht 6,631.2 million compared to Baht 5,848.3 million in 2002, mainly came from Consumer Products and Packaging businesses. In 2002, the group's net income was affected from the provision for loss in diminution of investment and loan to a related company of Baht 189.6 million.
