12 May 2004 To: The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Re: Change of Operating Results Berli Jucker Public Company Limited notifies the Group's net income for the first quarter of 2004 was Baht 354.3 million, 28% increased from the same period in 2003. The increase was primarily due to 13% increasing of sales in the first quarter to Baht 3,736.0 million compared to Baht 3,316.6 million in 2003. Increased sales mainly came from Consumer products, Construction & Engineering, Technical & Industrial products and packaging business. Increasing of net profit was also affected from cost saving in depreciation charges for some furnaces and machines in Bangplee factory of Thai Glass Industries Public Company Limited, which were fully depreciated in the third quarter of 2003.
