10 August 2007 The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Bangkok Dear Sir, Re: Report of Group's Operating Results BJC would like to notify that the Group's net income for the second quarter of 2007 was Baht 230.1 million, 21% decreased from the same period in 2006. The decrease of net income was due to a special non-recurring transaction which contributed profit after tax in gain on disposal of share and transfer of loan and interest payable in related parties amounting to Baht 131.3 million in the second quarter of 2006. In absence of the foregoing special gain Group's net income for the second quarter of 2007 would be a 45% increase from the second quarter of 2006. Net income for the first half year of 2007 was Baht 488.7 million, representing a 5% increased from the same period in 2006. The increase was primarily due to 6% increasing of sales in the first half year to Baht 7,952.2 million. Increased sales mainly came from Technical & Industrial products, Packaging business and Consumer products. And in the first half year of 2007, the increasing of net profit, partly, came from decreasing cost of production, due to price decreasing of raw materials, decreasing energy cost for production by switching to natural gas instead of fuel oil and more efficiency in production process in Thai Glass Industries Public Company Limited.
