Berli Jucker Public Company Limited, or BJC, conducts a business of manufacturing, importing and exporting, distributing and retailing various goods, and providing various services. In these operations, we adhere to good governance and build up our business based on honesty and transparency. We also exhibit social and environmental responsibility in accordance with international sustainable development goals. Our company is now one of the Thailand’s leading organizations, and also one of the regional leader with the capability to build up a business ecosystem with well-balanced relationships. We can achieve this because of our efficient and full-spectrum production, product distribution, and service networks that we have built up and operated for over 140 years.

2022 was a year of business challenges and adjustments after the improvements of the COVID-19 situation. Consumer behavior shifted very quickly, and technology-based forms of payment have become much more meaningful, however thanks to the proactive work of the company and because of the continuous, outstanding cooperation with and support by our trade and business partners, shareholders, our Executive Board and staff members, the company was able to react and develop products and services accordingly to answer the changing situation. In various ways, we react to trends, meet the needs and create new experiences for our clients across wide spectrum of different lifestyles.

Apart from developing products and services, a key focus in the operations of BJC is the integration of sustainability as a driving factor in our business. We have proclaimed the “B.J.C.” principles, “Better Living” to create better lives, “Joint Success” to achieve success together, and “Caring for Community” to take the society and environment into account. We apply these principles at our work. For example, we have set the BJC 150th Sustainable Environmental Goals and, more importantly, implemented the ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) principles to lay out our business development foundations aligned with the goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group and UN Global Compact.

In over 140 years of business, our company has focused on and adhered to sustainable business and good governance principles. Throughout 2022, BJC has been awarded recognition for sustainability from different international organizations, including FTSE4Good, THSI Thailand Sustainability Investment, MSCI, and for the third year in a row by S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, in which this year, BJC was ranked at the top of the global food and staples retailing industry category, with the highest score globally of 89 points. These awards are proof that demonstrates the trust in stable value creation in all processes, as reflected in our aim and vision of being “your trusted partner for sustainable, better living.”

At BJC, we see daily business growth like a large tree. Today, its strong roots have grown deep into the soil. Its branches always bear flowers, leaves and fruits. It can function as an important element in building a business ecosystem for all stakeholders. We firmly believe that joint growth leads to valuable sustainability with the business sector in the future. With these important messages, I, in my position as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Berli Jucker Public Company Limited, would like to express my gratitude towards all our shareholders, trade and business partners, investors, clients and staff members who have always trusted us and supported the operations of the BJC Group. We are ready to move on into the 141st year with our strength, to expand the business activities of BJC on international markets and to create profit for all. We do so by drawing from all of our strength and capabilities and remain true to our principles of transparent business operation as an organization that brings benefit to our country.
