BJC TO SELL OUT GUARDIAN INSURANCE CO'S STAKE Berli Jucker Plc reported that the company has sold 48,000 shares of Guardian Insurance Co Ltd, or 16% of Guardian's registered capital, for a total of Bt76,800,000. The transaction took place on June 3, 1994. Guardian Insurance has paid-up registered capital of Bt30 million, divided into 300,000 shares at Bt100 par. The purchaser is not listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and has no relationship with BJC. The stock sale is in accordance with Berli Jucker company policy which requires the liquidation of investments or other assets which do not contribute to the financial progress of the company.
