14 August 2008 The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Bangkok Dear Sir, Re: Report on Change of Operating Results BJC would like to notify that the Group's net income for the second quarter of 2008 was Baht 406.6 million, 60 percent increase from the same period in 2007. The increase of net income was due to 17 percent increase of sales from the second quarter of 2007 to Baht 5,328.8 million in the second quarter of 2008. Increased sales mainly came from Packaging business, Consumer products and Technical & Industrial products. The increase of net profit in the second quarter of 2008, partly came from decreasing cost of production due to more efficiency in production process of Thai Glass Industries Public Company Limited. Net income for the first half year of 2008 was Baht 672.5 million, representing a 27 percent increase from the same period in 2007. The increase was primarily due to 16 percent increase of sales in the first half year to Baht 10,747.3 million. Please be informed accordingly.
